The Plant Agriculture website is fully scalable for access by a range of devices including handheld systems. The site has been designed to be WCAG 2.0 compliant to meet the Province of Ontario's Accessible Information and Communications Standard (AODA: Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005). GiantGoat was contracted to create the revised design and templates for the Plant Agriculture site. In alignment with the WCAG 2.0 Guidelines, we have strived to ensure our website is:

Perceivable

  • Ability to provide text alternatives for any non-text content.
  • Site designed for content to be compatible with screen readers.
  • Ability to increase or decrease text size.
  • Ability to switch page view to white text on a black background.

Operable

  • Supports users who navigate via keyboard instead of a mouse.
  • Proper and minimal use of colour .

  • Content managed in a way which is readable and understandable.

Adjusting Text Size

Modern browsers allow for dynamic text resizing using your keyboard.

To change text size, simply hold down "ctrl" and press either the plus key  "+"  to increase text size, or the minus key "-" to decrease text size. If you would like to return text size to the website default hold "ctrl" and press the zero key "0".
