On Friday, September 20th we had the honour of a visit from Tanzanian president Jakaya Kikwete.  Peter Pauls gave the President a brief presentation and took them on a tour of some of the Crop Science Building growth-rooms/greenhouse and the new expansion of the BDDC.

Kikwete, the fourth president of Tanzania, was on campus today to receive an honorary degree and to give a public lecture on agriculture, food production and innovation. The University is recognizing him for his contributions as a politician, negotiator and humanitarian. 

It was a true honour to have His Excellency take the time to include us on his visit.
