Plant Ag Picnic

Overview:

It was a great day for a picnic by Plant Ag at the Elora Research Station this Tues (July 31). Rain for the first few minutes to add needed moisture to rescue fields and then beautiful blue sky.

The day included three packed wagon tours of the field plots, a barbeque and potluck and games in the field.

Thank you to all of those that worked to make this such a fun event. In particular, Thank you to Liz Lee and the corn crew for organizing the event and preparing the burger, hotdogs and wonderful corn from the corn crew's nursery plots. (Ask Byron for his recommendations on what sweet corn to plant if you are into growing it yourself). Thanks to the GSL reps Kristen Deyman and Kate Withers for helping to organize the Potluck and Verena and Tara for helping with the ticket sales and arranging rides.

Also, many thanks to those who contributed food to the potluck. It was a delicious sampling of the good things that are available in Ontario.
