OAC Takes USA

Overview:

Group photo Chris Albrecht, Darren Clark, Clarence Swanton, Kaylene Sangers and Christine WyvilleRecently, four University of Guelph students Chris Albrecht, Darren Clark, Kaylene Sangers and Christine Wyville attended a final summer meeting in Bloomington Illinois.  They are working at FS PARTNERS Kitchener, AGRIS Chatham, FS PARTNERS Ayr and Huron Bay Cooperative, respectfully. The four students participated in a summer internship with GROWMARK. Christine cordially invited Clarence Swanton UoG professor in Plant Agriculture for the two-day meeting.  During this third and final trip to Bloomington, the students were required to individually present an overview of their summer projects.  Christine started off the day with a talk on Canada Fleabane resistance, Chris on AgVance software, Kaylene on N-WATCH followed by Darren who spoke about N-WATCH as well as his experience with a drone.  Darren was also the recipient of a GROWMARK scholarship for $1000.
