Launch of Special Issue of the Trinidad Journal Tropical Agriculture - IDRC Project

Overview:

Congratulation go to Jay Subramanian for the successful launch of the special issue of the journal Tropical Agriculture that comes out from Trinidad for the past 75 years. This issue contains research work from our IDRC project on Enhancing fruit preservation using nanotechnology that was completed in March 2018.

This is the first such effort in all of the IDRC projects and is also the first open access issue done by Tropical Agriculture. All the articles were written from graduate students’ thesis work. The journal can be accessed in this link:

The special issue was released and the online version was launched by the Canadian High Commissioner in Trinidad and Tobago, Carla Hogan Rufelds. She was extremely happy with the outcome and praised us at UG for the efforts to make our research getting benefits for farmers in 6 countries, and was very appreciative of the Top 10 and the Research on Hexanal- 4 page- document that we developed with your help and got a few copies to display in the Canadian Consulate (The Maple House) in Port of Spain.
