Keeping Up with Organic Agriculture

In order to cope with the world wide expansion of organic agriculture (10-20% per year), the instructor for OAGR*2050, Roger Nkoa has introduced a student-greenhouse-research project in which canola crops in organic settings are studied and then compared with those grown in conventional settings.

Real organic soils from certified organic farms in Kenilworth were collected and then used for potting and processing.  There is also a field trip component to the course.
