Guelph Centre for Urban Organic Farming Weekly Market

Overview:

HORT3510 students run the weekly marketEvery Thursday we are fortunate to be able to buy fresh, student-grown, organic fruits, vegetables and herbs right outside the Crop Science Building.  Martha Gay Scroggins, the farm manager of The Guelph Centre for Urban Organic Farming (GCUOF), and the students from HORT3510 help run the weekly market.  They are literally selling the fruits of their labour!

Sadly, the early morning crispness in the air tells us that fall has indeed arrived and soon the frost will come... so make sure you take the opportunity to stop by and get some organic fresh produce

The GCUOF is a 2.5 acre certified organic farm for sustainable urban food production on the University of Guelph campus on the edge of the Arboretum.  It is run by some amazing volunteers that are involved in every aspect of production from seed starting and bed preparation to harvesting for market. Thanks to the dedicated volunteers and students who make the GCUOF a success every year!
