Graduate Involvement - Open Positions

Overview:

If ever there was a time to follow your passion and do something that matters to you, now is certainly that time!

OAC Graduate Student Council (OAC GSC)
Sitting on the council is a great way to get involved with events on and around campus. If you are interested in any of the positions please contact Michelle Arseneault at: oacgsc@uoguelph.ca by SEPTEMBER 24th for consideration. (must be a registered graduate student).  Meetings are every 2 weeks for 1 hour and 1 event is scheduled each month.  Together we can do so much!
  • Communications Director
  • Food Science Co-Rep
  • Plant Agriculture Co-Rep
  • School of Environmental Science Co-Rep

OAC Graduate Teaching Community (OAC GTC)
For the first time ever, the Graduate Teaching Community (GTC) will be hosting a workshop specific to all departments within the Ontario Agricultural College (OAC)! The workshop will focus on developing skills for new and seasoned graduate teaching assistants in order to run engaging and productive labs and seminars. The date and location for this workshop will follow.

In addition, we are looking for volunteers from all departments within the OAC to join the Graduate Teaching Community! The volunteer opportunities range from participating in this community to become more connected to resources related to teaching on campus and beyond, while other opportunities include helping to design and develop these college specific workshops. We are also open to suggestions, if you  have any ideas of how to support graduate student teaching development. If you are interested or have any questions, please contact Kristen Alves at kalves@uoguelph.ca. We look forward to hearing from you!
