Garden2Table

Overview:

The Garden2Table (G2T) program is changing the way children approach and think about food. In partnership with the Guelph Centre for Urban Organic Farming (GCUOF) and the School of Hospitality and Tourism (HTM), G2T brings public school students to the garden to teach them about the importance of learning where their food comes from and how it is grown. They learn how to make healthy snacks for themselves and bring home recipes in a handmade cookbook to share with their families.

Two of the passionate U of G students teaching children about sustainable food practices and the importance of eating well are Stephanie Redmond and Steven Pawluch.  Stephanie is a 5th year Hotel and Food Administration Co-op Student and Steven is a 2nd year Hotel and Food Administration student.
