University of Guelph Turfgrass students sodded the campus cannon with Greenhorizons sod.  This tradition of decorating the cannon, AKA Old Jeremiah, began in 1973 as a protest against war - painting can begin after sundown and must be completed by sunrise. Sometimes the cannon can have more than one makeover per night.
