$2.3 Million to Improve Sustainable Farming, Food Security
Overview:
Prof. Manish Raizada received a $2.3-million federal grant from the International Development Research Centre (IDRC) and Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development Canada. The grant it to be used to promote food security in Nepal by assisting farmers, especially women, to improve sustainable farming practices and technologies.
The project also involves Plant Ag post-doctoral researcher Malinda Thilakarathna, graduate students Kamal Khadka and Finlay Small.
