Nanotechnology Project


The Department of Plant Ag has many people contributing to a project that will help keep our fruit lasting longer.  Jay Subramanian, Gopi Paliyath, Al Sullivan, along with their team of grad students and Research Associates have been working on a project where hexenal is spayed on trees to increase the life of the fruit.  With food waste costs amounting to billions of dollars every year, this new research is exciting on so many levels.
