Plant Canada 2019 will be taking place on the U of G campus from July 7-10, 2019. We expect close to 600 registrants and the meeting involves all seven Canadian plant science Societies, including the CSPB, CBA, CPS, CSHS, CSA, CAPB and CWSS. A number of non-Society members will also be participating. There are 12 plenary speakers scheduled, and Dr. Dan Riskin (former host of Daily Planet) is the keynote speaker. There will be 36+ concurrent speaker sessions that cover all areas of plant science, and a large poster program.
We have kept the registration rate for students and postdocs/research associates at a very reasonable level to encourage participation. There will be an All-Society Student Social during the meeting, a Welcome reception, and an All-Society Banquet. A number of field tours and workshops are also planned. There will be a large contingent of industry sponsors with exhibits in conjunction with the poster program. For U of G researchers, it is a low cost meeting. To register and for more information, please follow this link: www.cspb-scbv.ca/PlantCanada2019 . Plant Canada meetings occur every four years.
In order for your abstract to be considered for the speaker program, you will need to register and submit any abstracts for Plant Canada 2019 Communicating Innovation in Plant Science before the May 17th deadline (this deadline was changed from the original deadline of May 24th). Also note that the early bird registration date is May 30th. Poster abstracts can be submitted until June 14th
