Landscape Ontario, the Ontario Parks Association and the University of Guelph invite the horticultural industry to tour the ground bed and container trials at the head office of Landscape Ontario in Milton and at the Guelph Turfgrass Institute in Guelph. Each location has a unique display and program.
In Milton (9am-noon) visitors can listen to Sean James and Chris Denich discuss their experiences and approaches to residential/municipal water management through the establishment of rain gardens and related landscape features. A short award ceremony for the winners of the municipal garden competition will also take place. This speaker program will be followed by a guided tour of the trial gardens. In addition to new annuals and perennials on display in ground beds, this year the trial site has expanded dramatically to include 165 rose cultivars, 20+ hydrangeas and a selection of other shrubs.
In Guelph that same day (1pm-3pm), visitors will have the opportunity to see the annual container and ground bed trial, the 2016 All America Selections judging trial and the perennial trial.
Kindly RSVP to Kathleen Pugliese, firstname.lastname@example.org, if you plant to attend.
