"The Guelph Plant Sciences Symposium is bringing together several remarkable individuals with diverse perspectives and backgrounds to speak about the food value chain and sustainable agriculture from the farm to the fork. The theme of the 2018 Symposium is "Agriculture with Less" and the speakers will cover topics such as sustainability in agriculture, post-harvest loss prevention, and precision agriculture. The day-long seminar is completely free to attend for everyone. If you are unable to attend the event, we will be hosting a live-stream of the event. If you register for "Webinar Attendance", you will receive an email link to the symposia prior to the event, which will then allow you to watch the presentations online.
A $2000 travel award is also being awarded for a student to present a poster at our event on Tues. Nov. 13th. Interested students should register, then additionally send their name, university, program name, and abstract to firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject "Travel Grant Application", and those chosen will be contacted. The poster session will include prizes for first, second, and third place, and offers a great networking opportunity.
