College Royals 2008 College Royals 2007

March 21-22, 2009

College Royal is the largest university open house event of its kind North America. Each March, the University of Guelph opens its doors to the general public in a campus-wide open house that attracts over 30,000 visitors every year. For U of G students College Royal is also a 12-day long event that includes popular events like Super Thursday and the College Royal Ball. College Royal is a 100% student run and organized event that involves some 3000 volunteers each year. Whether you are a member of the general public curious to see what goes on at the "university on the hill", or a student looking to become involved, we invite you to join us.

College Royal is an event of tradition that reaches into tomorrow. Agriculture and livestock shows are still highlighted events, but College Royal activities have grown to include dog and cat shows, a photography contest, a chemistry magic show and demonstrations on human health and fitness. The open house gives people an opportunity to see what happens in the University's leading-edge research laboratories, to observe veterinary medicine in practice, to tour a sculpture studio or to watch a theatrical performance.
