Teaching Overview

My responsibilities at the University of Guelph included research, teaching (graduate and undergraduate students), and extension (public outreach). I consider it a privilege to be involved in teaching and sharing my experiences and expertise in the horticultural sciences. I encourage students to ask questions  and try to inspire them by engaging them in discussion during my lectures or labs. The study of plants is amazing in many ways, and I find through it immensely rewarding by helping the horticultural industry derive a living from the nurturing of plants.  Equally rewarding is sharing this love with undergraduate and graduate students who simply want to learn more about pomology, or with those who want to become more involved or have chosen  a career in horticulture.
