Debbie Norton

Research Technician

For the past four Debbie has worked in the Tree Fruit Physiology program with Dr. John Cline where the program is split, location wise, between the Vineland and the Simcoe campuses.

Debbie began working at the Vineland Campus - Plant Agriculture, in 1981.
At that time Vineland was part of the Horticultural Research Institute of Ontario (HRIO) of the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture.

Debbie's formal training includes studies at Niagara College, obtaining a diploma in Horticulture, and Analytical Chemistry at Brock University.  When Debbie first started her career at Vineland she worked under the supervision of Dr. Robert Cline, that's correct, John's father, in the Plant Nutrition Lab performing detailed plant analysis as a service for the many tree fruit growers of Ontario. As Debbie states "I just can't get away from the Cline's...  but that's not a bad thing!"
