ESTABLISHMENT AND CARE

Patience is required when establishing wildflower stands.
If a spring sowing is desired, early in the season is best.
Fall seeding takes advantage of natural stratification effects.
Cool season species usually germinate soon after sowing.
Maintain soil moisture by lightly mulching.
Irrigate during droughty weather.
Establishment is hampered by competition from undesirable species.
Monitor and remove undesirable species as required.
Fertilization is not recommended.
Applications of organic matter may assist establishment
