Pasture and grazing management, organic farming, GMOs
Research Interests:

On-farm surveys of organic farmers as well as plot studies conducted at the Ignatius Jesuit Center on the edge of Guelph, are exploring elements causal to ecological sustainability. The roles of livestock and of enterprise diversity are featured. Dairy herd health issues are being examined in conjunction with colleagues at Kemptville College and Alfred College and organic producer groups.
Environmental risks posed by GM crops continue to receive attention.
